What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Some cookies are needed for a site to work at all, for example to keep you signed in. Others are used to track visitors across sites for advertising. Trademarking uses only the first kind.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| trademarking-session | Keeps your session, so you stay signed in while you move between pages and so the signup and plan steps remember where you were. | Ends after 120 minutes without activity |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms and actions against cross-site request forgery. | Same as the session |
| remember_web_* | Set only if you choose to stay signed in on this device. | Up to 400 days, or until you sign out |
Your browser may also keep preferences for the interface, such as the billing period you last looked at on the pricing page, in local storage on your device. These stay on your device and are not sent to anyone else.
Cookies we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social media plugins or third-party tracking. Visitor statistics are collected on our servers without cookies and without identifying you, and are used only in aggregate to see which pages are useful.
Why there is no cookie banner
The law requires consent before a site sets cookies that are not strictly necessary. Because every cookie on this site is strictly necessary to provide the service you request, no consent is required and we do not show a banner. If we ever add a cookie that needs consent, we will ask for it before setting it and update this page.
How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies listed above, you can still read the public pages, but signing in and using the workspace will not work.
